Overview
Tobio Kageyama is the setter of Karasuno High School's volleyball team and the deuteragonist of Haikyu!!. A prodigy from Kitagawa Daiichi Middle School, he was nicknamed the King of the Court by teammates who resented his demanding, tyrannical style, and was benched during his last middle-school match.
At Karasuno he learns to trust his spikers, above all Shoyo Hinata, whose reckless speed becomes the outlet for Kageyama's pinpoint sets. His rivalry with his former senior Toru Oikawa of Aoba Johsai and his selection for the national youth training camp mark stages of his growth.
