Ayanokoji is the protagonist of Classroom of the Elite, a student who hides his true genius abilities behind an average facade.
Overview
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is the protagonist of Classroom of the Elite, the light-novel series by Shogo Kinugasa adapted by Lerche from 2017. A student of Class D at the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School, he hides exceptional abilities behind a deliberately average academic record.
Raised in the secretive White Room facility, Ayanokoji is a cold manipulator who treats the school's point-based class competition as a game, using classmates such as Suzune Horikita and Kikyo Kushida as pieces. His schemes drive Class D's rise through the ranks across the three seasons.
His flat affect and mastermind reveals made him one of the most popular anti-hero protagonists in light-novel anime. He is voiced by Shoya Chiba in Japanese and Justin Briner in English.
