Overview
Shigeo Kageyama, nicknamed Mob, is the protagonist of Mob Psycho 100, the manga by One adapted by Bones across three seasons from 2016. A quiet middle-school student, he is an immensely powerful esper who suppresses his emotions because his psychic energy explodes when his stress reaches one hundred percent.
Mob works as an assistant to the fake psychic Arataka Reigen, whose advice, though self-serving, becomes real guidance. He joins the Body Improvement Club to grow beyond his powers, and his fights against the Claw organization and the wraith Mogami test his conviction that psychic ability does not make a person special.
His arc, culminating in the confrontation with his own hidden self in the final season, is among the most praised in modern anime. He is voiced by Setsuo Ito in Japanese and Kyle McCarley in English.
