Arataka Reigen
霊幻新隆
Reigen Arataka is a self-proclaimed psychic and Mob's mentor in Mob Psycho 100. While he has no real powers, his charisma and quick thinking make him invaluable.
Overview
Arataka Reigen is the self-proclaimed greatest psychic of the twenty-first century in Mob Psycho 100 and the owner of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office. He has no psychic power at all, solving most cases with massage, salt and confident talk, and employs the real esper Shigeo Kageyama for the difficult ones.
Although he is a con man, Reigen consistently gives Mob sound moral advice, insisting that psychic powers are just another talent and that Mob should be a good person first. His speech to the Claw executives and his breakdown during the Separation arc reveal how much he depends on Mob in return.
Reigen won the 2017 Crunchyroll Anime of the Year "Best Boy" award and is often called one of the best mentor figures in anime. He is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai in Japanese and Chris Niosi in English.
