Overview
Ainz Ooal Gown is the protagonist of Overlord, based on Kugane Maruyama's light novels and animated by Madhouse from 2015. Originally the salaryman Satoru Suzuki, he plays the skeletal Overlord Momonga in the game YGGDRASIL and is transported into a new world when the servers shut down.
Adopting the name of his old guild, Ainz commands the Great Tomb of Nazarick and its devoted NPC guardians, including Albedo, Shalltear and Demiurge. His undead body suppresses strong emotions, and his followers frequently over-interpret his improvised decisions as genius.
