Overview
Rias Gremory is the main heroine of High School DxD, the light-novel series by Ichiei Ishibumi adapted into anime by TNK from 2012. She is a high-class devil, heiress of the Gremory clan and president of the Occult Research Club at Kuoh Academy, where she hides her true nature from the student body.
Rias reincarnates the protagonist Issei Hyoudou as a devil in her peerage after he is killed by a fallen angel, and the series follows her group through Rating Games, church conflicts and the politics of the underworld. She is proud and commanding but treats her servants as family, and her romance with Issei is the emotional centre of the franchise.
Her signature Power of Destruction, crimson hair and role as a template for the modern devil-heroine archetype made her a staple of the ecchi-fantasy genre. She is voiced by Yoko Hikasa in Japanese and Jamie Marchi in English.
