Reg
レグ
Reg is a robot boy found in the Abyss with no memories, who becomes Riko's companion on her journey.
Overview
Reg is a humanoid robot and the deuteragonist of Made in Abyss. Found unconscious by Riko near the edge of the Abyss, he has no memory of his origin but possesses extendable arms and the Incinerator, a beam weapon so powerful that it knocks him out for hours after use.
Reg accompanies Riko into the Abyss to protect her and to find out what he is. He is immune to the curse of the Abyss, which ravages humans who ascend, and his metal body draws the interest of Bondrewd, the sinister White Whistle of the fifth layer.
Reg's tender protectiveness and mysterious past, hinted at by Nanachi and the White Whistles, make him a key figure in the series' central puzzle. He is voiced by Mariya Ise in Japanese and Luci Christian in English.
