Lucy Heartfilia

Overview

Lucy Heartfilia is the female lead of Fairy Tail and the character through whose eyes the series begins. A runaway heiress of the wealthy Heartfilia family, she meets Natsu Dragneel in the port of Hargeon and joins the Fairy Tail guild in the first episode, forming a team with him and Happy.

Lucy is a Celestial Spirit mage who summons spirits such as Loke the lion, Aquarius, Taurus and Virgo using Gate Keys, and she wields the whip Fleuve d'étoiles. Her greatest feats include the Urano Metria spell and her sacrifice of Aquarius' key to summon the Celestial Spirit King.

She narrates the story through letters to her late mother and dreams of becoming a novelist, a goal fulfilled in the epilogue. She is voiced by Aya Hirano in Japanese and Cherami Leigh in English.
