Overview
Hisoka Morow is a recurring antagonist in Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter x Hunter, appearing from the Hunter Exam arc onward in both the 1999 and 2011 anime adaptations. A flamboyant magician-themed fighter, he lives to battle strong opponents and takes an unsettling interest in Gon Freecss and Killua Zoldyck as "unripe fruit" worth waiting for.
His Nen abilities are Bungee Gum, an elastic, sticky aura he can attach and retract at will, and Texture Surprise, which disguises surfaces. He is a member of the Phantom Troupe, holding the number four spot, though he joined only to fight its leader Chrollo Lucilfer, a duel that finally takes place at Heavens Arena.
Hisoka's unpredictability, theatrical speech and genuine menace made him one of anime's most iconic wildcard villains. He is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa in Japanese and Brandon McInnes in English for the 2011 series.
