Overview
Aki Hayakawa is a Public Safety Devil Hunter in Chainsaw Man, Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga adapted by MAPPA in 2022. After the Gun Devil kills his family, he joins Tokyo Special Division 4 seeking revenge and becomes the reluctant senior of Denji and Power, who move into his apartment.
Aki fights with a katana and contracts with the Fox Devil and later the Curse Devil, at the cost of years of his life, before bonding with the Future Devil, which lets him see a few seconds ahead. Serious and tidy, he develops a genuine, if exasperated, family bond with his two chaotic roommates.
His relationship with fellow hunter Himeno and his tragic role in the manga's Gun Devil arc made him one of the series' most beloved characters. He is voiced by Shogo Sakata in Japanese and Reagan Murdock in English.
