Yu Ishigami
石上優
Ishigami is the treasurer of the student council, initially depressed but grows significantly through the series.
Overview
Yu Ishigami is the treasurer of the Shuchiin Academy student council in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. A gloomy gamer who avoids people and hides behind his bangs, he was ostracised after an incident in middle school in which he took the blame for confronting a bully.
Ishigami's arc in the second and third seasons, where he joins the cheer squad for the sports festival and finally makes friends, is one of the series' most heartfelt storylines. He develops feelings for the popular Tsubame Koyasu and later a complicated bond with Miko Iino.
His terror of Kaguya and dry commentary on the council's antics provide much of the show's comedy. He is voiced by Ryota Suzuki in Japanese and Austin Tindle in English.
