Overview
Usopp is the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece and the son of Yasopp, a marksman in Shanks' crew. A habitual liar from Syrup Village, he joins Luffy after the Kuro arc and dreams of becoming a brave warrior of the sea.
Cowardly but inventive, Usopp fights with a slingshot, Pop Greens and homemade gadgets, and he builds Nami's Clima-Tact. His departure from the crew and duel with Luffy over the fate of the ship Going Merry in the Water 7 arc is one of the series' most emotional storylines, followed by his return as the masked hero Sogeking.
Usopp's Observation Haki awakens at Dressrosa, and his lies have a habit of becoming true, as with the "God Usopp" title that earned him a 500 million berry bounty. He is voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi in Japanese and Sonny Strait in English.
