Overview
Nico Robin is the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece. Born on the scholar island of Ohara, she survived the Buster Call that destroyed it and spent twenty years as a fugitive because she can read the Poneglyphs, ancient stones that record the true history of the world.
She first appears as Miss All Sunday, an agent of Baroque Works in the Alabasta arc, before joining Luffy's crew. The Enies Lobby arc, where the Straw Hats declare war on the World Government to rescue her and she finally cries out that she wants to live, is one of the series' defining moments.
Her Devil Fruit, the Hana Hana no Mi, lets her sprout copies of her limbs from any surface. Calm, dry-witted and morbid, Robin plays a crucial role in Wano and Egghead as the crew searches for the last Road Poneglyphs. She is voiced by Yuriko Yamaguchi in Japanese and Stephanie Young in English.
