Overview
Roronoa Zoro is the first member to join Luffy's Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece and serves as the crew's swordsman and combatant. A former bounty hunter, he fights with his unique Three-Sword Style, holding a blade in each hand and a third in his mouth.
Zoro's driving goal is to become the world's greatest swordsman, a promise made to his childhood rival Kuina. That ambition leads him to challenge Dracule Mihawk, the current holder of the title, who later trains him during the two-year timeskip.
Famous for his terrible sense of direction and his loyalty to his captain, Zoro wields the named swords Wado Ichimonji, Sandai Kitetsu and, from Wano onward, Enma. He is voiced by Kazuya Nakai in Japanese and Christopher Sabat in English.
