Overview
Sung Jin-Woo is the protagonist of Solo Leveling, the Korean web novel by Chugong that became a hit webtoon and was adapted into an anime by A-1 Pictures in 2024. In a world where gates to monster-filled dungeons have appeared and hunters are ranked by power, he begins as the weakest E-rank hunter, taking dangerous jobs to pay for his mother's hospital care.
After barely surviving a hidden double dungeon, Jin-Woo becomes the only person able to "level up" through a game-like System. He grows from a powerless survivor into the Shadow Monarch, commanding an army of shadow soldiers drawn from defeated enemies, including the knight Igris and the ant king Beru.
His rapid, satisfying power progression and stylish action made him one of the most popular new protagonists of the decade. He is voiced by Taito Ban in Japanese and Aleks Le in English.
