Shoto Todoroki is one of the main characters in My Hero Academia, born with a powerful dual Quirk combining ice and fire.
Overview
Shoto Todoroki is a student of Class 1-A at U.A. High School in My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi, animated by Bones from 2016. He is the youngest son of Endeavor, the number-two hero, and was raised through a harsh training regime intended to produce a hero who could surpass All Might.
His Quirk, Half-Cold Half-Hot, lets him generate ice from his right side and fire from his left. For years he refused to use his fire, rejecting his father's legacy, until Izuku Midoriya confronted him during the U.A. Sports Festival and pushed him to accept that his power is his own.
Todoroki's stoic manner, family trauma involving his brother Dabi and his gradual reconciliation with Endeavor give him one of the series' most developed arcs, making him a consistent favourite in popularity polls. He is voiced by Yuki Kaji in Japanese and David Matranga in English.
