Overview
Tomura Shigaraki is the leader of the League of Villains and the main antagonist of My Hero Academia. Born Tenko Shimura, the grandson of All Might's mentor Nana Shimura, he accidentally killed his family with his Decay Quirk as a child and was taken in by All For One, who shaped him into a successor.
Decay disintegrates anything he touches, and it grows from a close-range curse into a city-wide catastrophe after his transformation by Doctor Garaki. Shigaraki leads the attack on the USJ, the Kamino incident and the Paranormal Liberation War, where he inherits All For One's power.
His evolution from a petulant man-child into a symbol of everything hero society failed to save is central to the series' themes, culminating in his final clash with Deku. He is voiced by Koki Uchiyama in Japanese and Eric Vale in English.
