Sanemi Shinazugawa
不死川実弥
Sanemi Shinazugawa is the Wind Hashira known for his aggressive personality and intense hatred of demons.
Overview
Sanemi Shinazugawa is the Wind Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Scarred, hot-tempered and openly hostile to demons, he is the one who stabs Nezuko during the Hashira meeting to test whether she will attack a human.
His hatred stems from the death of his mother, who was turned into a demon and had to be killed by Sanemi himself. His blood is Marechi, an unusually rare type that intoxicates demons, which he uses tactically. He is the older brother of Genya Shinazugawa, whom he pushes away to keep out of the Corps.
Sanemi's Wind Breathing and his battle against Kokushibo alongside Gyomei in the Infinity Castle arc are among the manga's fiercest fights. He is voiced by Tomokazu Seki in Japanese and Kaiji Tang in English.
