Nezuko Kamado
竈門禰豆子
Nezuko Kamado is Tanjiro's younger sister who was turned into a demon but retains her human emotions and memories. Unlike other demons, she doesn't need human blood and instead regains energy through sleep.
Overview
Nezuko Kamado is Tanjiro's younger sister and the deuteragonist of Demon Slayer. Turned into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji during the attack on her family, she retains her love for her brother and refuses to eat humans, a trait unheard of among demons.
Nezuko wears a bamboo muzzle and sleeps to regain strength instead of consuming human blood. Her abilities include changing size, regeneration and her Blood Demon Art, Exploding Blood, which burns demons but is harmless to humans.
During the Swordsmith Village arc she becomes the first demon known to conquer sunlight. Nezuko is voiced by Akari Kito in Japanese and Abby Trott in English, and her design has made her one of the most recognisable characters in modern anime.
