Ruby Hoshino
星野ルビー
Ruby is Aqua's twin sister, also reincarnated, who dreams of becoming an idol like her mother Ai.
Overview
Ruby Hoshino is one of the twin children of the idol Ai Hoshino in Oshi no Ko. In her previous life she was Sarina Tendouji, a terminally ill girl who idolised Ai, and she is reborn with the memories of that life intact, as is her twin brother Aqua.
Determined to become an idol like her mother, Ruby forms the group B-Komachi with Kana Arima and MEM-cho, and the show follows her from her mother's death through auditions and her first concerts. She is bright and stubborn, but her discovery of the truth about her past life darkens her later arc.
Ruby's energy and her star-marked eyes, which shift from bright to black as her motives change, are central to the manga's imagery. She is voiced by Yurie Igoma in Japanese and Alexis Tipton in English.
