Megumin
めぐみん
Megumin is an arch wizard in KonoSuba who specializes exclusively in explosion magic. Despite being able to cast only one spell per day before collapsing, her dedication to explosion magic and chuunibyou personality have made her one of the most popular isekai characters.
Overview
Megumin is an Arch Wizard of the Crimson Demon clan and a member of Kazuma's party in KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!, the comedy light novel by Natsume Akatsuki adapted by Studio Deen in 2016 and later by Drive. She has devoted her entire life to Explosion magic, the single most powerful and impractical spell in the world.
Because a single Explosion drains all her mana and leaves her unable to move, she can cast only once a day, which is a running joke throughout the series. She is theatrical, prone to chuunibyou posing and fiercely proud of her clan, yet also loyal and surprisingly perceptive.
Her daily explosion ritual, eyepatch and self-declared name became fan favourites, and she received her own prequel series, KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!. She is voiced by Rie Takahashi in Japanese and Erica Mendez in English.
