What is an anime special?
A special is a bonus episode shipped alongside a series — a recap, a side story or a disc extra — rather than part of the main broadcast run. This page lists the 24 anime specials our catalogue rates highest, starting with ONE PIECE FAN LETTER (2024, 9.0), Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2 (2023, 8.7) and Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 1 (2023, 8.7). They range from 2003 to 2026. Recurring studios include A-1 Pictures (3 titles), MAPPA (3 titles) and Artland (2 titles). The genre tags that appear most often across the set are action, fantasy, adventure and comedy. The longest entry here is Shingeki no Kyojin: Chimi Kyara Gekijou - Rivai-han Part 2 at 3 episodes. Community scores on the page run from 9.00 down to 7.90. The tabs above switch to the other five formats, and the sort buttons re-order this one by release date or popularity.
